How to Use Data Sets to prevent data input errors and simplify task assignments

Steps to recreate:

  • Create 2 Data Sets, 1 for locations and 1 for job matrixes
  • Edit your workflow and add two dropdown fields
  • Link those dropdowns with the ‘All data’ saved views from your data sets
  • Add multiple hidden fields
  • Use variables from your Data Sets to populate the default value of those fields
  • Set up a task role assignment using the email address from the job matrix data set
  • Run the workflow! Now all that needs to be done is to make a couple of selections in those dropdowns and you’re up and running.
